Our transfer case skid plate is designed to protect your vulnerable transfer case and can be used with either the NP231 or NP242 transfer case. There is no loss of ground clearance and installation is simple, especially if your Jeep originally came with a transfer case skid plate. All the original mounting points and hardware can be used if it's there. Some holes will need to drilled if your Jeep didn't come from the factory with a transfer case skid plate.
While changing your transfer case fluid isn't something you need to do often, your oil changes will be just as easy with the skid plate installed as they were originally. That's because we included an oil drain hole that works with either transfer case.
The skid plate is constructed from 3/16" thick steel and is powder coated a semi-gloss black for a long lasting and durable finish. |
